how will corona virus effect your supply chain?

We would like to offer you our latest business update on the COVID-19 (corona virus) outbreak which is a rapidly evolving situation and there is widespread media coverage of the same. Firstly we can assure you that our CCT China offices and other agents in Asia have returned to work and will remain fully operational.

Within the UK, we are making provisions to mitigate any risks associated to corona virus by putting precautionary safety measures in place and monitoring the official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England in an effort to protect all employees, suppliers and customers whilst trying to minimise the effect on our customers’ supply chain. In line with government guidance, we are continuing to operate but in order to minimise disruption for customers in the event that the government advise that we should all work from home, we have readied all of the necessary IT equipment and connections to ensure we are fully contactable and can carry out the necessary processes to expedite your cargo. To make sure that we can stay in contact with you at all times we would also suggest customers confirm the best out of office contact number(s) for their company in advance and we will provide the same.

We would also encourage all customers to consider whether they have made provisions for making payments whilst out of the office, especially for duties/taxes – if you think this could be an issue then we can help to advise you in advance of the upcoming costs. Furthermore, please think about what may happen in terms of delivery to you – will you have the ability to accept delivery? If not, rent charges could apply.

All of the above plans are of course heavily effected by a number of factors within the UK infrastructure. We are reliant on the likes of UK port authorities, HM Revenue & Customs, carriers and hauliers to continue operating but we will continue to work with all stakeholders and do our very best to make plans to aid the continuation of your UK supply chain.

We will continue to keep you updated with any further developments and are committed to supporting you and your business in the best possible way throughout this potentially challenging situation.
